Design Team Yule inspiration from Tracy

Tracy used foils as part of her first Yule card this year, the reindeer is such a cutie, especially with his red foil highlighted nose. Tracy details how she created this project in her blog Kindred Dilettante Soul - thank you, Tracy!

Christmas in July from DT member Zoe

How cool is this Christmas decoration from DT member Zoe? I think it's fabulous! Zoe covered 3D letters in gold foil and also used foil to add some bling to the little characters decorating the letters. More details are on her blog, Handmade With Lots of Love. Thank you, Zoe!

Design Team - Classy Christmas card by Kate

Check out this gorgeous CAS Christmas card with foiled highlights by DT member Kate, who used a glue pen and rub on foil to accent the snowflake design, and also applied foil to narrow double sided tape as a finishing touch. Kate has explained how she created this project in more detail on her blog Kate's Crafty Corner. Thank you, Kate!

Hunkydory Blockbuster - Christmas in July!

Fancy making an early start on your Christmas cards? If so, Foil Play has plenty in store to help you, including the very latest Christmas Blockbuster designs from Hunkydory, recently featured on the Ideal World / Create & Craft shopping channels.

There are four collections, with a variety of traditional, cute and contemporary designs, including Classic Christmas, Magical Christmas, Snowy Days and Stylish Season.

Toppers sets with co-ordinating Adorable Scorable card are all available individually, so you can purchase just the products that you know you will use, rather than having to invest in a huge kit. You might like a selection from all four collections, or extras of your favourite sheets if you already have the kits.

If you don't feel Christmassy just yet, how about the delightful and stylish Art Deco Decadent days collection from Hunkydory instead. A great selection of topper sheets with perfectly co-ordinating adorable scorable card and a selection of mini kits also, to make kinetic, diamond and trio aperture cards.

As ever at Foil Play, fast despatch is a priority and p&p is free if you spend over £10.00.

Die cut toppers and embellishments from The Hobby House

These beautiful cards may look as if they feature stamped and painstakingly coloured images, but in fact they are all created with die cut toppers from The Hobby House, a company which you may have seen on Create and Craft TV recently.

The A4 die cut topper sheets with lovely images created by Mo Manning, Kenny K, Sylvia Zet and Elizabeth Bell have proved very popular.

I have now restocked the designs that sold out, and added the Christmas designs.

Foil Play now also stocks a range of beautiful embellishments from The Hobby House too, including delicate pins, self adhesive rhinestone and pearl gems and polka dot ribbons.

The self adhesive gems are available in a huge range of colours and a choice of sizes, and at these prices, you can treat yourself to a selection!

There is no minimum order at Foil Play, and P&P is free on all orders over £10.00.

Glamorous Kanban glittered bauble Christmas cards

I made these three Christmas cards from a single Kanban background card sheet, featuring a selection of ornate gorgeously glittered baubles, teamed with some bright red glitter card and papers from Kanban's Cosmo Christmas & Deck the Halls paper pads. The middle card is a 10 x 7 inch card, the other two are 8 x 8 inch square (corners rounded with a corner chomper).

The Festive Baubles card is so stunning, I felt it deserved to take centre stage rather than remaining in the background. I cut out the three sets of baubles and mounted them using silicone adhesive to add a bit of dimension. I finished the cards with ribbon, Craftwork Cards card candi and sentiments mounted onto rosettes, cut from gold mirri card using a Tim Holtz die.

The Festive Baubles printed & glittered card sheet that I used to make all three cards is pictured below:

Foil Play has a huge selection of Christmas themed toppers, card, papers, decoupage and other crafting goodies. It includes the latest designs featured on craft TV shopping channels as well as plenty of tried & tested favourites. Christmas break & last posting date

As usual, Foil Play will be taking a break over the festive period. I will be despatching orders as usual until Friday 9 December (my last posting date this year), so there is still time to make any purchases you need before Christmas.

The site will be closed then until shortly after Christmas, which means that you will be able to browse as normal, but as the checkout will be turned off, it won't be possible to actually place any orders. When the site is re-opened after Christmas, there will be lots of tempting sale bargains to look forward to! The first order despatch date after Christmas will be Tuesday 3 January 2012.

Thank you very much indeed for your custom during 2011 - wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012!
