As all crafters know, July is of course the height of the Christmas crafting season! Dufex has just released its 2009 Christmas craft range, which features a great variety of designs, including vintage, traditional, religious and cute.
The range includes die cut decoupage, pyramex decoupage and stickers too. Each Christmas sheet is individually packaged to ensure that your goodies reach you in pristine condition.
As well as the Dufex designs, there are also some delightful new Christmas designs from Reddy Creative Cards.
Check out the beautiful Winter Paintbox Poppets die cut decoupage sheets designed by Christine Haworth.
There is also a great range of new die cut pyramid decoupage sheets (packaged in pairs) with a selection of themes including angels, religious, cute and traditional.

Talking of Patchwork Kingdom...

Isn't this mistletoe toting polar bear a cutie? Fabrizio made him from the original Patchwork Kingdom Christmas collection (the 3D decoupage sheet used is pictured below). He's been teamed with the co-ordinating backing paper and Hot off the Press paper, and embellished with Kanban pearls and a HOTP dazzle. Thanks Fab for letting me blog about him!
Check out Fab's Big Christmas cards challenge blog for many more creative Christmas card ideas - why not join in with the challenge and get well prepared for next Christmas!

Marvel decoupage - coming soon!

Did you see the Marvel decoupage premiered on Create & Craft TV yesterday afternoon? Wasn't it a fun show! Also good to hear namechecks for my friends Fabrizio and Vince, who made many of the card samples for the show :-)

The Marvel decoupage will be released to retailers shortly, I've pre-ordered mine and hope to have it in stock next week - so watch this space!

Back in stock: Bear Essentials and Marij Rahder moveable decoupage

I've been listing lots of new goodies at Foil Play over the weekend (more news on those to follow over the next few days), I've also stocked up again on some popular items that had sold out.

The first consignment of Bear Essentials Christmas die cut pyramage sheets sold out very quickly - I now have reinforcements of them and the Fairy Doodles sheets, I've also added co-ordinating backing sheets and Fairy Doodles Waterfall sheets.
Also back in stock are the Marij Rahder moveable decoupage sheets - each sheet creates a very unusual moving topper. You can see a step by step demonstration using the above sheet in this previous blog post.
I've also stocked up on other Marij Rahder designs, including the very popular Fifties Feelings series.

Dufex Art Nouveau decoupage kits and Reddy Creative Cards die cut decoupage

Dufex is now the UK distributor for Reddy Creative Cards and has released many new designs, including these gorgeous Art Nouveau card kits, which you may have seen on the Create & Craft TV shopping channel.
There are three designs of Art Nouveau kit available, each comes in a sealed pack containing two A4 die cut decoupage sheets and co-ordinating card stock to make the card.
The kit for the flowers paravent card is shown at the top of this post, with the finished card below, the seasons screen card kit is shown above, with the finished card below.
Other new Reddy die cut decoupage designs are also available at Foil Play, including cute teddy designs and fantasy designs, like the beautiful fairy children sheet pictured below.
The new sheets complement the many existing designs in the Reddy range which Foil Play already stocks, including Caron Vinson fairies, Christine Haworth designs (Faerie Poppets, Paintbox Poppets, Angel Whispers, Meadow Cottage Bears, Dreamtide Fairies), Toreads and floral and vintage designs. A number of the designs (floral, Faerie Poppets, Paintbox Poppets and Meadow Cottage Bears) have also been reproduced as Dufex die cut decoupage.
All of the Reddy sheets are die cut very precisely, allowing you to produce beautifully intricate toppers for your card projects, without all the hassle of cutting out fiddly bits of the designs.
To make up toppers from the sheets, simply pop out the pieces and layer them up with foam pads or silicone adhesive.

Pet themed card made with Craft UK die cut decoupage

Here's a birthday card made for a collie owner which features border collies from a Craft UK die cut decoupage sheet. I used an 8 x 10" card and covered it with two toning Papermania pet themed papers, using a strip of brown velvet finish ribbon to cover the join. On the lower sheet, I decoupaged some of the circle motifs from the leftover part of the paper, and mounted them over matching circles using foam pads, to add a bit of dimension.

I've used Nestabilities long rectangles dies to cut co-ordinating mats for both the decoupage and the stamped greeting. I used three layers of the die cut decoupage (layers 2A and 3A are identical), which means that I still have an extra collie dog topper for another project.
The Craft UK die cut decoupage sheet that I used to make the card is pictured above.

New from Kanban: Card & toppers, Christmas, Lorelei Design

Lots of newly released Kanban goodies are now in store at Foil Play - including a delightful selection of new die cut Christmas topper sheets and co-ordinating cardstock.
For something completely different, check out the Lorelei Designs Bathtime and Southern Belles, a selection of die cut foiled and flitter glittered topper sheets and co-ordinating cardstock. The Lorelei Designs kits have sold out in minutes when aired on QVC. They are designed by Lorelei Harris - you can check her website here.
Also new is a selection of die cut and foiled topper sheets depicting lovely vintage ladies from the 1940s.
New in the card section, is a series of printed card, mirri card and acetate, with matching Duo Designs, like the one below.
Something else which is very unusual, these sheets of enamel glazed card, beautiful designs (which remind me of William Morris patterns) with texture and sparkle.
I've also stocked up on many of the popular topper and card sheets which had previously sold out.

Elegant lady cards using Hunkydory Violet Checks die cut topper sheet

Another selection of cards made using a Hunkydory die cut toppers sheet, this time using the Violet Checks sheet from the Glamour Girls set.

I used the largest topper from the sheet on the 8 x 10" card above, with two sheets of Hot off the Press background papers to cover the card. I used a Fiskars punch to make a decorative border to the centre paper, and backed this with self adhesive silver vinyl to emphasise the border. I mounted the main topper and a co-ordinating greetings topper from the same sheet with self adhesive foam to add a little dimension, and finished the card with three self adhesive gems in the bottom right hand corner.
The other three cards were made by covering 6 x 6" cards with co-ordinating 6 x 6" papers. The topper on the card above has been matted onto a toning paper, the card has also been embellished with Kanban Bling in the centre of the flowers and a green ribbon.

The square topper on the card below has been simply mounted with self adhesive foam. I've added a floral embellishment in toning colours and a Card Art greetings banner.
The topper on the card below has been mounted on mats cut using rectangle shaped Nestabilities. I've also added a greetings topper from the same sheet, and picked out the centre of the flowers on the backing paper with tiny self adhesive gems.
The foiled and die cut Hunkydory topper sheet that I used to make the cards is pictured below.
Each topper sheet contains a selection of picture and greetings toppers for your card craft projects, so you can make several cards from each sheet. Toppers can be matted and layered or mounted with foam pads or silicone adhesive for extra dimension.
