Kanban Mini Scrapbook album bargains

I took photos of these decorated mini scrapbook albums on the Kanban stand at last year's trade craft show - aren't they just gorgeous?

Kanban update & more sale bargains

Following on from my post in March, sadly Kanban has now ceased trading, so it is indeed the end of an era. Very sad for all concerned, particularly those who have lost their jobs / livelihood as a result, or are otherwise out of pocket.

All of the company's products have been auctioned off now by the administrators and I made my last trip to the warehouse in Shipley this week to collect stock.

It will take me quite some time to list it all, but I can promise that there are lots of bargains to come, so keep an eye on Foil Play and the Kanban Sale bargains section.

Cards from the Kanban British Birds collection

 

These cards are all from another of my favourite Kanban collections - British Birds, much of which is still available to purchase from Foil Play.

 

Equally suitable for male or female cards, the collection features a delightful range of bird themed toppers and decoupage with beautifully co-ordinating background cards.

The topper sheets I used include Chatsworth Estate Frames, Weston Park & Tatton Park Bookmarks and Weston Park Squares & Sentiments.

Background card includes beige damask & moss green duo and cream & blue script duo. I've also used some backing mats from the Cocoa, Kiwi and Mint collection, which also co-ordinates really well with these toppers.

Kanban Yvette Jordan Flamenco card

I made this Flamenco dancer card for an 18th birthday girl, who had a Spanish themed party, using Kanban Yvette Jordan sheet YJPCT006, pictured below. I used a fairly large card (7 x 10 inch), and very little further embellishment was needed to complement this beautiful topper, just a couple of mats cut using Grand Nestabilities and co-ordinating ribbon and bling.

In keeping with the simple style of the card, I used only one layer of the additional decoupage, which was just enough to give a 3D look.

Kanban Bella Fiori cards

These cards are all made from one of my favourite Kanban collections, Bella Fiori, most of which is still in stock at Foil Play, although a few sheets have sold out, including the Bella Rosa, featured in a couple of these cards.

As you can see, I like using 8 x 8 inch cards and the Bella Fiori toppers are the perfect size for these. I also used some of the foiled border strips from the topper sheets.

 The topper sheets used were: Sarafina, Veronica, Bella Rosa and Della Rosie.

I also used co-ordinating Bella Fiori card: Lauretta, Le Fleur, Magnolia Dreams and Rosie Scripts. One A4 sheet divided into three and with corners rounded made enough mats for three 8 x 8 cards.

Add a little toning paper, sentiment and an embellishment or two, and the cards were complete.
