Update on Royal Mail industrial action

Royal Mail staff are continuing to take industrial action in areas of the UK during October 2009, with national strikes to be held on 22 and 23 October 2009, and more apparently to be held between 29 to 31 October. This may delay receipt of posted payments and delivery of your order both on actual strike days and afterwards (due to the backlog of mail).

More information about the strike action and its likely impact is available on the Royal Mail website here. Foil Play remains open for business during the strikes and orders will be processed and posted as quickly as possible.

Orders will not be posted on strike days or immediately beforehand (unless upgraded to Special Delivery), in order to minimise the risk of them being caught up in mail backlogs resulting from the strikes.

Foil Play apologises for any delays in receipt of your purchases and the inconvenience caused by this continued industrial action.

If you need your order urgently, you may wish to consider purchasing a Special Delivery shipping upgrade. Whilst normal delivery guarantees may be suspended during strike action, Special Delivery items will be prioritised by Royal Mail. Foil Play is offering upgrades to Special Delivery for half price if your order is over £50 and free if your order is over £100.

As another alternative, Foil Play is also offering the option of purchasing an upgrade to Courier delivery for £3.99, offered at half price if your order is over £50 and free if your order is over £100.
