Kanban Bella Fiori cards

These cards are all made from one of my favourite Kanban collections, Bella Fiori, most of which is still in stock at Foil Play, although a few sheets have sold out, including the Bella Rosa, featured in a couple of these cards.

As you can see, I like using 8 x 8 inch cards and the Bella Fiori toppers are the perfect size for these. I also used some of the foiled border strips from the topper sheets.

 The topper sheets used were: Sarafina, Veronica, Bella Rosa and Della Rosie.

I also used co-ordinating Bella Fiori card: Lauretta, Le Fleur, Magnolia Dreams and Rosie Scripts. One A4 sheet divided into three and with corners rounded made enough mats for three 8 x 8 cards.

Add a little toning paper, sentiment and an embellishment or two, and the cards were complete.

The Wrinklies CD is back in stock!

Initial supplies flew out, but I'm glad to say that the Wrinklies CD from La Pashe, recently featured on Create & Craft TV is now back in stock at Foil Play!

This brand new CD-ROM is packed full of silly seniors and potty pensioners, to make fabulously funny handmade cards, and offering the versatility of decoupage, toppers, tags, bookmarks, backgrounds and more.

If CDs are not your 'thing', or you only fancy a couple of the designs, they are also available as both die cut and traditional decoupage at Foil Play, the choice is all yours.

Kanban sale day bargains

I have created a new section on the website for Kanban sale bargains - so that you can easily find the bargains that I'll be listing from the closing down sale this week. There are a lot, so it will take me a while!

I have listed all of the stamps from the Kanban closing down sale now, with many A5 stamps at £5.99 (RRP £10.20) and many A6 stamps at £3.99 (RRP £5.25). All of the clear stamps that I have in stock at Foil Play are now listed, so once they are gone, I'm afraid that's it, they really will be gone...

Whilst I did buy a lot of stock at the sale, I wasn't able to get more (apart from the odd topper here and there) of some of the newer collections, including: Feline Friends, A Dog's Life, Language of Flowers and Scenic Vistas, nor was I able to get more of the 48 sheet paper pads, so again please bear in mind that once these products have sold out, I won't be able to restock them.

Kanban in Administration - the end of an era?

You may now by well have heard the news that Kanban Crafts Ltd has gone into administration and will cease trading shortly. 

I was very saddened to hear this, particularly when I consider the impact on all of the people involved who have lost their jobs. Kanban and their staff have always gone the extra mile for me, which is one of the reasons, along of course with the huge popularity of the products, why Kanban has been one of my biggest suppliers over the past few years.  

I have been asked about the impact on Foil Play, so I'd like to stress that I do stock a very wide range of craft products (over 9,500 different lines now!) and that my business will continue. Sadly, it isn't the first time that one of my suppliers has gone into liquidation, the beauty of being a small fish in the crafting sea is that I have flexibility to adapt and survive and I will continue to do just that. 

I spent the day in Shipley yesterday at the closing down sale, and it's safe to say there won't be a shortage of Kanban products at Foil Play any time soon. Realistically, it will take probably a few weeks for me to list it all, but I can promise that there are plenty of bargains in the pipeline - watch this space!

Mo Manning, Kenny K, Sylvia Zet and Elisabeth Bell Toppers

You may think that all of these delightful cards were all made with stamped images as the focal toppers, but you'd be wrong!

Even if you're not a stamper, you can still make cards using lovely images created by Mo Manning, Kenny K, Sylvia Zet and Elizabeth Bell.

The images are available as A4 sheets of die cut toppers, made by the Hobby House (who kindly gave permission to use pictures of their stunning card samples) and now in stock at Foil Play.

 There is no minimum order at Foil Play, and P&P is free on all orders over £10.00.
