News about postage & packaging

As you may be aware from recent news reports, Royal Mail is increasing prices significantly this year and changes for business users will apply from Monday 2 April 2012.

As far as Foil Play is concerned, this means that there is good news and bad news. The good news is that p&p will still be free for most orders, however the bad news is that I will be raising the level where free p&p applies to orders over £10 from tomorrow. Orders under £10 are still of course very welcome, but a p&p charge of £1.50 will apply to those orders.

I've held the free p&p level on the website at £5.00 for six years now. However, rising actual postage costs over the years, and the particularly large increases planned for this year mean that I simply won't be able to absorb those charges (and of course packaging costs) any more for the smaller orders. So I'm very sorry to make this change, particularly in these hard times, but I hope you will understand the reasons why, the decision wasn't taken lightly.

I know how important it is for us crafters to get our crafting stash as quickly as possible, and the vast majority of orders will still be despatched by 1st class mail. However, the Royal Mail changes will particularly affect the price of sending heavier / bulkier orders. These have to go as packets rather than large letters and are considerably more expensive, I will be sending some of these (particularly for lower order values) via 2nd class in future due to the cost difference.

January Bargains!

Happy New Year from Foil Play, I hope you are enjoying the year so far.

I've been ruthless and added lots of January bargains to both the Clearance and Special offers sections of Foil Play, to make some room for all the lovely new 2012 crafty goodies, some of which are already on their way, so watch this space!
You'll find bargains galore from top brands such as Kanban, Hunkydory, Craftwork Cards, La Pashe and many more.
I've also revamped the Special offers page, with new featured offers and two extra sections:

• special offers & clearance bargains by brand; and
• a ginormous selection of decoupage and toppers at just 49p a sheet, this includes all of the die cut designs from G18 / National Crafts too

Enjoy browsing and why not bag a few bargains too!

Kanban Steam Punk Jasper stamps

I've finally managed to get my hands on a limited quantity of these sought after Jasper steam punk Kanban clear stamps, I've been told that they won't be released to retail generally, so once they are gone, they'll be gone!

I've also managed to get restocks of the some of the everyday TSV stamps from earlier this year, including the very popular seascape design. All of the Kanban clear stamps can be found here.

As I will be shutting up shop for a break over the festive period on Friday, please don't delay if you'd like to receive your stamps before Christmas!

Christmas break & last posting date

As usual, Foil Play will be taking a break over the festive period. I will be despatching orders as usual until Friday 9 December (my last posting date this year), so there is still time to make any purchases you need before Christmas.

The site will be closed then until shortly after Christmas, which means that you will be able to browse as normal, but as the checkout will be turned off, it won't be possible to actually place any orders. When the site is re-opened after Christmas, there will be lots of tempting sale bargains to look forward to! The first order despatch date after Christmas will be Tuesday 3 January 2012.

Thank you very much indeed for your custom during 2011 - wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012!

As you can see from this beautiful array of cards, a cracking new Christmas collection is hot off the presses from Craftwork Cards!
The Frosty & Friends Collection features a delightful selection of cute Christmas characters with co-ordinating papers and die cut embellishments in frosty blue, winter turquoise and buttermilk colourways.
Frosty the snowman and his friends are of course the stars of the collection, they are depicted in line drawings on die cut toppers, which you could use as they are, or colour in highlights with your favourite colouring medium.
There are two new stunning 'flavours' of Card Candi in the collection too - Frosty and Twinkle holographic silver metallic look alike brads, which are sure to add a touch of sparkle to your projects.
The Frosty & Friends Christmas collection includes:

• 6 x 6 inch Frosty Christmas paper pack - 24 sheets, half of which are silver foiled;
• Frosty & Friends large die cut colour me toppers (three different options);
• Frosty & Friends mini die cut colour me toppers;

• Top Notch and Elegant die cut embellishments;
• Die cut Christmas flowers;
• Die cut button messages;
• Frosty and Twinkle holographic silver Card Candi.

You can pick and choose which elements of the collection you purchase, Foil Play is selling all of the die cut sheets individually, rather than in packs.
