Hunkydory Autumn Delights and Thoughts of Autumn

These lovely cards are from Hunkydory's latest Autumn themed collections, now in stock at Foil Play.

Autumn Delights is a delightful selection of five different concept card kits, while Thoughts of Autumn is a beautiful collection of ten die cut topper sheets, with co-ordinating foiled and printed background card.

Both collections have featured very recently on Create & Craft TV. If you didn't fancy the whole kit, or would like to stock up on extras of your favourites, you can now select the individual designs of your choice at Foil Play.

Cards made with Kanban Westie Concept card

Angie made these two cute Westie dog cards from a Kanban concept card sheet. As you can see, the design is equally suitable for both Christmas and everyday occasion cards.
For the Christmas card, Angie also used Kanban self adhesive greetings ribbons, mitred at the corners. The card is beautifully finished with a bow and a little Christmas greenery.
The paw print ribbon from Angie's stash is a perfect addition to the second card - I wish I could tie bows as beautifully as the one on this card! As you can see, Angie cut the card element of the sheet in two, and used the back part as the background mat for the second card.
The Kanban die cut concept card sheet that Angie made both of these cads from is pictured above - a very similar design is also available with a green tartan background. Both have now been discontinued by Kanban, but I still have some in stock at Foil Play, they are a bargain at only 89p a sheet.

New Home cards with Kanban Concept Cards

Here's a couple of New Home cards that I made using a Kanban concept card kit. Instead of using the card part of the kit as a base card, I cut it in two to use as separate mats.
I used a beige deckle edged square card as the base for the top card, and an A4 sheet of cream linen textured card folded in half as the base for the second.

Harley Davidson Dream Machine Kanban Concept card

I'd already used the Kanban Dream Machine concept card kit to make one card, blogged about here. I made this card from the remainder of the kit, and still have a couple of bits left over. I covered an A5 base card with half of the leather effect card and matted half of the die cut card from the topper sheet onto co-ordinating K&Co backing paper using silver metallic brads. The image and greetings toppers complete the card.

Wedding card made with Kanban Concept Card kit

Moving on from the hen party, I made this wedding card from the Kanban Diamonds and Pearls concept card kit. The topper and foiled card are from the kit, I added a swirl cut from silver mirri card and some pearl gems to finish the card.

Harley Davidson card using Kanban Dream Machine concept card kit

I made this motorbike themed card using elements from a Kanban Concept Card kit. For the base card, I used a 10 x 8 inch card and covered it with a dark blue, slightly distressed looking K & Co paper.

I embossed some silver mirri card with birthday messages, using a cuttlebug folder. I then mounted the largest topper and a greetings topper from the Concept Card kit onto the co-ordinating leather effect cardstock with self adhesive foam pads. To stop these blending too much into the background paper, I inked the edges with a silver ink pad.

I finished the card by decoupaging and mounting the wings and speedometer design elements from the topper sheet.

Wedding card made using Kanban Diamond & Pearls concept card kit

Here's a wedding card that I made recently, using the Diamonds and Pearls Kanban concept card kit.
I used a shaped card with scallop edges as my base card and covered it both sides with sepia and cream papers from DCWV which toned with the Kanban toppers. I used 12 x 12 papers to cover the two larger panels, and 8 x 8 sheets to cover the smallest panel of the base card.

I mounted the toppers from the concept card kit with self adhesive foam pads to add dimension (all apart from the blank greetings topper, which I applied flat with self adhesive tape). As a finishing touch I added some pearl gems from the Kanban Diamond & Pearls gem pack to embellish the top of the card - cream pearl on the front of the card and silver pearl on the rear. I also inked the scallop edges of the card with a silver pen.
The Diamond and Pearls concept card kit is pictured above - I still have a couple of toppers and the foiled A5 card left over from the kit to use with other projects.

Kanban Wine concept cards and stock update

Here are a couple of cards that I made using a Kanban die cut concept card sheet (wine cellar). The cardstock for each card was an A4 sheet of moondust card (burgundy and gold), simply folded in half to make A5 cards.
The concept card sheet is pictured below. Rather than using the card part of the sheet as a card, I cut it in half and used it as a matt for the main toppers on both cards, for a co-ordinated look. The toppers were mounted onto toning gold & green / gold & burgundy card cut using nestabilities dies.

I managed to use the border in the middle of the sheet for both cards, a full border for one card and the bits left over put under the cetral topper on the second card. The first card has a greeting from the concept card sheet, the second has a card art greetings banner.
I have stocked up on Kanban goodies over the last week, so many popular items are now back in stock, including Christmas toppers and concept cards.
Whilst the shopping channel QVC has negotiated exclusive deals on many Kanban lines at present, a few new items have been released to other retailers, including the lovely country cottage pyramage stacker sheets pictured above, a selection of foiled card and the gorgeous Diamonds and Pearls self adhesive gems pictured below.

Creativity with a Kanban Concept card by Fabrizio

Fab has very kindly agreed to let me give a sneak preview of this gorgeous card that he has made for week 10 of his Big Christmas Cards Challenge blog.

The card proves the point that although Kanban concept cards are nearly almost done, you can still add your own twist and personalise them (or "take your crafting to the next level", as they say on the TV shows!).
Fab used Kanban pearls and Stampin Up Rhinestone brads plus a quilling star that he made with a quilling comb (an onion holder really) to embellish and personalise the card, with delicious results. Many thanks for letting me share, Fab!

New Kanban goodies - Concept cards, toppers and co-ordinating cardstock

Christmas and new everyday goodies from Kanban

Lots of great new everyday Kanban goodies are now in store at Foil Play. I've also stocked (again!) on the very popular Christmas designs, including pyramage and topper sheets, concept cards and co-ordinating foiled and mirri card.
There is a great new selection of concept card kits. The new kits each include:

New Kanban Christmas, Egyptian and Art Deco toppers, concept cards, pyramage and adhesive ribbons

Lots of new Kanban goodies are in store now at Foil Play. Check out the newly released Christmas goodies, which include die cut and foiled topper sheets and flitter glittered die cut pyramage sheets like the cut polar bears above.

With pyramage sheets, you pop out all the different sized shapes of the image, then layer them on top of each other with foam pads, starting with the largest at the base and the smallest at the top, to create a 3D pyramid effect. No scissors are needed, as the sheets are die cut.

There is a choice of die cut toppers featuring Egyptian Icons: Tutankhamun (of course!), Bastet, Queen Nefertiti and Egyptian Goddesses along with a choice of co-ordinating backing papers, card and self adhesive ribbon borders.

I made the card above using the Bastet die cut toppers. One topper is matted and layered on mirri card and toning card. I have decoupaged the cat only from another identical topper, and mounted it on top with self adhesive foam pads.

I embellished the edges of the card with metallic moon confetti, and mounted a gold moon under Bastet's collar with an adhesive foam pad, to add a little extra dimension.

The background of the card features the Egyptian Icons backing paper, whilst the foiled border with gold hieroglyphics is taken from the middle of the Bastet die cut topper sheet.
